The top of Huanglong is 3500m. This woman is holding an oxygen bottle, which the park sells. Lots of tourists are toting these oxygen bottles.

Oops!
This shows what can happen when you don’t pay attention on a narrow road. Note the huge gutter that the truck has fallen into, and the lack of shoulders. I saw this from the cab, en route from Huanglong to Songpan.

Huang = Yellow. Long = Dragon. The Huanglong valley has a number of travertine terraces, the water flowing through them has a similar unusual blue color as the lakes in Jiuzhaigou, and then algae growing in some pools adds some more colors.
