Singapore Zoo

The Singapore Zoo is a good outing for a day. It is a fairly long bus trip from the city center. It has a good collection of critters:

The zoo features a large variety of orchids.

This odd-looking creature is a Colugo, also known as a Flying Lemur (but it is not a Lemur).

The Colugo was not in a zoo enclosure. It was just hanging on to a tree beside a pathway. I could easily have walked past without noticing it. It did not seem to be worried when I stopped and hung out for a while, looking at it and taking photos. It just moved its head around to various odd positions to watch me.
