Today is my last day in Chengdu. Tonight, I take an overnight train (soft sleeper) to Huashan. Unfortunately, I think the train will arrive too late tomorrow to get up onto the mountain tomorrow evening.
I wanted to have an easy day, so I wandered around a bit, and, in the afternoon, I went to the Peoples’ Park for tea. It turns out that there is a special Chrysanthemum show going on this weekend. That means that they hiked the park entry fee from $.25 to $1. Robbery!
I have a backlog of Chengdu material that I still have to post. While I am at Huashan, however, I will not have internet access for three or four days. Hopefully, I can catch up once I am in Xi’an.
